Building Avilo: the problem with parent group chats
Why small favours between families get lost.
Every parent I know is in at least four group chats that exist mostly to ask one question: can someone help on Thursday?
The answer usually comes — but it drowns between photos, birthday reminders and forty thumbs-up. The favour gets done; the thread gets lost.
Avilo is my attempt at a small, calm place for exactly that: asking, offering, and keeping track of who helped whom — without it turning into a ledger.
